Veganjanuary, dry January? Tell that to the people of Cheshire !! They’re partying on! A very busy month on the social scene and the end of the shooting season saw some long-distance days to Kent, Helmsley in Yorkshire and Kirkoswald near Penrith.
Corporate activity has been unseasonally good with more and more trips to Heathrow and Gatwick Airports. Disaffection with the train network, unreliable Wi-Fi, delays and cost being the major factors. Heathrow is normally a 3hrs 15 mins trip from mid-Cheshire depending on which terminal and drop off and pick up are very easy!
Spring approaches so the social season will get underway starting with race meetings, the Cheltenham Festival, Aintree Grand National, York Dante meeting and of course, our local highlight of the year Chester, featuring the Chester Cup and Ascot follows in June.
I have a fabulous job this week to celebrate a gentleman’s 90th Birthday, chauffeuring him to a local eatery! He just happened to be a chauffeur to the Chairman of a major British company so the Jaguar and the driver will be at their best.
