Now we have Christmas and New year out of the way I always look forward to getting in early bookings for the up and coming sporting events of 2013! Especially the horse racing events as I have a bit of a passion for Horse Racing and definitely don’t mind taking clients to these events!! Of course the driver has to stay, it would be rude not to!
Here are my pick of the Horse Racing Calender coming up:
12 March 2013 to 15 March 2013
The National Hunt Festival has become firmly established as the first major event of the year in the Corporate Hospitality programme and this year sees the seventh 4 day Festival, when jumping enthusiasts will be provided with 27 of the most prestigious races in the National Hunt calendar.
This includes on the 15th March the Cheltenham for the Gold Cup – an absolute must see race! Luckily I already have bookings!!
Grand National 2013
Aintree Racecourse
06 April 2013
Aintree Racecourse is known to millions worldwide as the home of the John Smith’s Grand National – The World’s Greatest Steeplechase. Don’t forget the preceding events:
Guineas Festival at Newmarket Racecourse
Newmarket Racecourse
04 May 2013 to 05 May 2013
With both the 2,000 and 1,000 Guineas dating back to the early 1800’s, Newmarket’s Guineas Festival always attracts the star names of flat-racing as the famous Rowley Mile plays host to a weekend of high class racing. Recent winners of the 2,000 Guineas have included Sea the Stars, George Washington and Rock of Gibraltar.
Chester Races – May Festival
Chester Racecourse
08 May 2013 to 10 May 2013
Royal Ascot 2013
Ascot Racecourse
18 June 2013 to 22 June 2013
There are few sporting venues that can match the rich heritage and history of Ascot Racecourse. For almost 250 years, Royal Ascot has established itself as a national institution and the centrepiece of the British social calendar as well as being the ultimate stage for the best racehorses in the world.
