I’m raising money for the British Heart Foundation. I will be completing the Bullock Smithy Hike – a 56 mile walk over the course of 24 hours. The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly, every day hundreds of people still lose their lives from these ailments.
I have decided to walk for the British Heart Foundation as one of my clients, Simon Gillespie OBE, is the Chief Executive of the BHF and a great guy. Secondly, my Dad died the day after he turned 69 from a heart attack. As he was such a healthy man, it was a big shock. I want to raise money for the BHF for my Dad and those who are affected by heart and circulatory diseases. As I will be 69 when participating in this challenge, the same age my Dad died, it will be quite a poignant moment for me.
You can help by donating as much as you can to support this charity.
Here is my Just Giving Page – any amount you can donate will really help me keep going during 56 miles!
As the old joke goes: If I’d have known I was going to live this long, I would’ve looked after myself.
And to my mate Geoff “What – with these feet?”.
Thanks, Tim.
